This free in-person workshop is for researchers in Perth to learn the basics of using the ARDC Nectar Research Cloud.

The ARDC Nectar Research Cloud provides researchers with more computational power. During this free workshop, you will learn what the Nectar Research Cloud is, how it could help you, and how to navigate the Nectar Research Cloud Dashboard.

Does your computer struggle with your research workload? Do you want to access extra resources and share a computer with collaborators? Whether it's data analysis, simulation or other computing work, the ARDC Nectar Research Cloud can help with your research! This service provides you access to fast, secure and powerful cloud computers.

In this free workshop, you will get hands-on experience:

  • Accessing support and documentation.
  • Navigating the Nectar Dashboard.
  • Setting up and launching a cloud computer.
  • Connecting to a cloud computer using the command line.

Attendance requirements

No prior knowledge or experience is required. Prereading for beginners is provided.

Please include your university or institutional email address in your registration. This is required to log into the Nectar Dashboard.

The training venue is in the learning space in Pawsey Supercomputing Research Centre.
