Description:

This workshop will introduce students to the processes of academic publishing, particularly in terms of getting published in academic journals. The workshop is designed to offer students information on the different types of academic publishing venues available to them, as well as advice on each stage in the process of getting published. This will include the early developmental stages of putting together a piece of writing for publication, through to targeting a journal, making a submission, navigating reader reports, finalising proofs, and understanding

editorial standards. It will also offer an opportunity for students to discuss their own work and writing and get specific advice on how to begin tailoring their own writing and ideas for academic publication.

This session is not available via Zoom.
