Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!
About this event
This year we're supporting the #RunSweatInspire festival founded by the Indigenous Marathon Foundation (IMF).
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians on whose land we live, work, run and play and we respect their Elders, culture, lore and values. We value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island culture as a national treasure, and embrace it as a vital and rich part of the Australian identity.
The festival is an annual virtual running and walking event in celebration of NAIDOC Week. This year's theme is Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up! and we're asking you to join us in real life for either a 2km, 5km or 10km run or walk.
We'll meet on the country of the Mouheneenner people at the base of the Truganini Reserve in Taroona at 9am.
You'll then get to choose if you tackle the climb up the Truganini track, or find your pace along the flatter, channel highway (wheelchair accessible route).
To join us, choose one of the following options:
1. Sign up to complete the #RunSweatInspire challenge here https://www.imf.org.au/rsif-2022/
2. Donate to the IMF here https://www.imf.org.au/donate/
