This event was designed and developed by NCP to support Job Seekers and volunteers to better prepare themselves for the upcoming Care Sector Career Connect recruitment session and the Volunteer Expo on July 26 2024 at the Salisbury Community Hub.
This Get Ready for a Job in Aged Care one day workshop is designed to support you to prepare your resume and speed date style job interviews.
Who should attend
Job seekers (18+ years) interested in finding paid or volunteer opportunities in aged care and community services.
What’s next? After attending this ‘Get a Job in Aged Care’ session we invite you to join us at:
- The Care Sector Career Connect and Volunteer Expo on Friday 26 July, designed for you to participate in speed date style interviews with aged care organisations. This expo will attract around 100+ paid employment opportunities and diverse volunteer opportunities (pathway to employment) in the aged care sector.
Agenda
9:30am - 10:15am: Industry presentation by a participating employer discussing the types of frontline employment and volunteer opportunities available in the CHSP sector, including roles and responsibilities
10:15am - 11:00am: How to develop your resume
11:00am - 11:30am: Morning tea provided
11:30am - 12:30pm: Let's Talk - An interactive discussion with employment services and Job Seekers
12:30pm - 1:30pm: Lunch break (at your own cost)
1:30pm - 2:00pm: Presentation on mock interviews followed by a Q&A session
2:00pm - 3:30pm: Practice makes perfect: Group 1:1 mock up and interview session
