About this event

This free event offers participants the chance to engage in an inquiry-based process that reflects our teaching methodology. You can anticipate lively conversations with fellow participants, designed to stimulate new awareness and explore something of the potential of studying a gestalt approach to therapy and relating.

You will meet current faculty and students, get an overview of the four-year program, and give you a sense of what to expect during the first year of the program. You will have plenty of time to ask questions about gestalt therapy and the course.

Our training program focuses on building the skills needed for attuned relationships. At this Gestalt Discovery you will learn how it can support your existing work or enable you to transition to a new career working therapeutically with people in community and private settings.

About our Specialist Training in Gestalt Therapy

Gestalt therapy is a vibrant, creative, and deeply compassionate approach to connecting with therapeutically with others. Our training program spans four years and focuses on building self-awareness, honing clinical skills, and deepening transformative therapeutic presence.

GTA offers a comprehensive postgraduate education in gestalt practice and psychotherapy that emphasises a holistic and embodied approach to human experience. It is an approach that centres presence, giving equal importance to body, mind, and heart.

Our program includes an internship with ConnectGround, our community-based clinic. The internship is an apprenticeship in gestalt psychotherapy that provides students with the opportunity work with clients in a supportive and collegial learning environment.

Gestalt thinking has many applications in many settings. Gestalt practitioners work with individuals, groups, teams, families, and couples in private & community practice and in organisations. At its heart there is a commitment to support better relating and living more fully.
