Georges River Kayak Tour

Georges River Kayak Tour

Lambeth ReservePicnic Point, NSW
Saturday, Mar 21 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am AEDT
Overview

Join us for a guided kayak tour up the Georges River, from Picnic Point upstream to Milperra.

Join Canterbury Bankstown Council and a local bird expert for a guided tour of one of the more striking sections of the Georges River, from Picnic Point upstream to Milperra. We will see orange sandstone rockfaces, natural bushland and hopefully many native birds.

All equipment including kayaks, paddles, life jackets and dry bags will be provided.

Attendees MUST have some on-water experience in kayaks or canoes, even if only a few times, and be proficient swimmers, i.e., able to paddle to stay afloat.

Attendees will need to bring wide-brim hats, sunglasses and avoid wearing cotton clothing as getting wet while kayaking will be unavoidable.

Registration is essential and costed to ensure attendance. Those showing up without Eventbrite tickets will not be allowed to join the tour as spaces are limited due to safety and insurances.

NOTE: Residents of Canterbury-Bankstown LGA will be prioritised as this is a council-led event.
Children under 12 are not eligible, and children under 16 must attend with a parent or guardian.
