Welcome to GCAP & AGDAs 2024!
Games Connect Asia Pacific (GCAP) 2024 will foster connections with industry professionals to create opportunities for business development. GCAP 2024 will deliver education and upskilling programs across multiple content streams focused on the core disciplines of game development to inspire attendees. With numerous formal and informal networking opportunities, GCAP 2024 will provide many opportunities to create and grow a sustainable business.
Australian Game Developer Awards (AGDAs) 2024 is the Australian games industry’s night of nights where we join together and celebrate the outstanding games and individual achievements created by the Australian game development community. Spanning 12 game categories as well as 3 personal and studio awards, AGDAs seek to elevate and celebrate across our diverse and talented local Industry.
GCAP will commence from Monday 7th October to Wednesday 9th October 2024 at The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event will be fully catered with food and drinks.
AGDAs will take place on Wednesday October 9th at 6:30 PM AEDT at The Forum Melbourne. The event will be fully catered with food and drinks. The AGDAs dress code is Cocktail Attire, so remember to leave the gaming tee at home and dress to impress!
Ticket Types:
GCAP & AGDAs Ticket:
A GCAP & AGDAs Ticket includes access to all 3 days of GCAP (Mon – Wed) & AGDAs (Wed evening), the Social (Tues evening), all GCAP Services such as our networking platform MeettoMatch, and GCAP Content such as our keynotes and talks.
AGDAs Ticket :
You will receive entry to the AGDAs ONLY on Wed 9 October at The Forum. Food, drinks and entertainment are included.
Please note: AGDAs Ticket Holders will not have access to GCAP, GCAP Content, GCAP Services and the Social.
TICKET POLICY:
Tickets for the event are non-refundable (except where applicable under relevant legislation/regulations) and non-transferable and cannot be reproduced, upgraded or resold above their original value.
Refund Exceptions:
• IGEA will only offer a refund or exchange of a ticket if the event is cancelled, rescheduled or significantly relocated (and you cannot or do not wish to attend the rescheduled or relocated event) or to the extent otherwise required by law.
• IGEA will provide refund or exchange of the GCAP & AGDAs Ticket only to any customers who is unable to travel to the event due to travel restrictions in relation to COVID-19
• IGEA will provide refund or exchange of the GCAP & AGDAs Ticket only to any customer who is unable to attend due to illness (with applicable evidence – i.e. a doctor’s certificate) on or before October 18th.
• For all other COVID-19 related cancellations that occur that do not directly relate to the points above a credit for GCAP & AGDAs 2025 will be offered in place of a refund.
Covid Safety Protocols:
We work closely with our venue partners MCEC and The Forum on all health and safety matters to ensure a safe conference for all our attendees.
For more information regarding the measures put in place for your safety, please refer to MCEC’s VenueSafe Plan.
For all other Covid Safety protocols we will follow the latest guidelines established by the local and federal government at the time of the event.
This includes requirements and recommendations on Mask-wear and Vaccinations.
IGEA recommends the use of masks if you are ill and that all attendees are up to date with the latest round of Covid-19 vaccinations that are available to them.

There are no single day tickets available for GCAP 2024.
You will receive entry to the AGDAs on Wed 9 October at The Forum. Food, drinks and entertainment are included. Please note: AGDAs Ticket Holders will not have access to GCAP, GCAP Content, GCAP Services and the Ultimate Social.
Ticket Sales close at 3:00PM AEDT Tuesday October 3rd. No tickets will be issued for the AGDAs after this date. Non-ticket holders will be refused entry.
In order to ensure you have your GCAP Conference Badge ready and to be seated for the Opening Keynote presentation, we recommend you arrive at 7:30AM.
Doors open at 6:30PM with food and drinks service beginning straight away. We recommend you line up outside the venue 15 mins prior to ensure you are inside and ready to go for the commencement of the official ceremony.
For GCAP, Morning Tea and Lunch will be provided. Hot drinks are served at the Coffee Cart from 9am - 4pm. For AGDAs, the event will serve several rounds of canapés and both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks will be available at the bar.
When you register for your ticket, please inform us of any dietary requirements or restrictions. The majority of dietary requirements will have been considered that were indicated to us when you purchased your ticket.
You must present a QR code for scanning from your ticket purchase to the printing kiosks. Attendees will receive further email instructions on how to access this code.
GCAP & AGDAs Ticket holders: simply show your GCAP Conference Badge and Lanyard to our staff upon entry. AGDAs Ticket holders: you will be able to claim your AGDAs Badge and Lanyard at The Forum by showing your Eventbrite ticket to our staff at the registration desk from 6:30PM
Cocktail Attire. This is your red-carpet moment, so leave the gaming tee at home and put on your best dress or suit and grab a photo on our official AGDAs media-wall!
Attendees are advised to wear while not eating and drinking. Attendees are also reminded not to attend and apply for a refund if they have contracted any illness.
We will have a strictly limited quantity of tickets available at the door until Tuesday the 8th at 3PM AEDT. After Tuesday afternoon, there will be no further tickets sold. For speed of admission, we strongly advise having your tickets purchased before the 30th of September.
