Gaura Golden Moon Kirtan

Gaura Golden Moon Kirtan

Overview

A Very Special Kirtan Meditation Celebration

Come sing, celebrate, and bathe in the golden moonlight of Gaura’s kirtan!

This sacred celebration honours Sri Gauranga, who introduced the sublime practice of joyful kirtan meditation (group mantra chanting). He brought this easy, uplifting and spiritually powerful path so that everyone everywhere can experience deep spiritual joy.

This gathering is an opportunity to nourish the heart’s deepest need for love, inner peace and happiness, and to help spiritually illuminate our path in life.

Sri Gauranga glorified kirtan as; “the prime benediction for humanity because it spreads the rays of the benediction moon, it increases the ocean of transcendental bliss and enables us to taste the nectar for which we are always anxious.”

Come as you are or bring your friends and share an evening of:

  • Relaxing and soothing meditation
  • Heartfelt uplifting kirtan
  • Inspiring spiritual insights
  • Connection with like-minded people
  • A delicious vegetarian festive dinner

No experience needed—everyone is warmly welcome.

Date: Sunday, 8th March

Time: 6:00 - 8:15 pm

Cost: $15 (includes delicious vego dinner) - Please bookings for catering.

Location: 20 Chapel Street, North Adelaide

WHAT IS KIRTAN?

Kirtan meditation is the hearing and chanting of mantras (sacred spiritual sounds) in a call-and-response style. Weaving together melody, music and mantra, kirtan is an interactive experience which is both meditative and joyful. This beautiful group meditation engages the senses and uplifts the spirit. Kirtan can be mellow and slow or upbeat and energetic with dancing, and anywhere in-between. Anyone can experience kirtan, regardless of age, background, religion, etc.
