Can I bring my children?

Yes, children are welcome but must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. The will be some kids activities.

Can Greyhounds live with small dogs?

GAPWA assesses our dogs for their suitability to live dogs of different sizes, including small. We have successfully rehomed many greyhounds to live with dogs of all sizes.

Do Greyhounds need lots of exercises?

No, most Greyhounds only need one or two 20 minute walks per day. They enjoy quick bursts of energy before spending the rest of the day snoozing.

How much do Greyhounds cost to adopt?

Our standard adoption fee is $200. All dogs have been desexed, and have had routine medical veterinary care.

Do I need to adopt if I attend?

No, this is an obligation free event. Of course, if you fall in love...

This casual no-commitment day is perfect for people who aren’t ready to bring a greyhound home yet but want to meet a few in a calm, casual and supervised environment. It’s also a great opportunity to chat with our team, see how your kids feel around a larger breed or just enjoy spending some time with these gentle dogs.

No commitment or application needed. Booking a free ticket helps us plan numbers but walk-ins between 9am - 1pm are welcome!
