Description

We want everyone to be able to enjoy Game Masters: The Exhibition, so we're offering a Pay What You Can day on Saturday 21 December 2019.

Gamers who may not have the resources to buy a ticket will be able to access the exhibition at no cost. Others are encouraged to make a donation; whether it's $1 or $100, you can help us make the exhibition accessible for everyone!

We appreciate your support and encourage you to attend on this special day.

Ticket valid from 10am until 4pm on the specified date. Last entry 3:00pm

With Game Masters: The Exhibition, the NFSA turns into Australia’s biggest video game arcade with the world’s greatest designers, characters and 80 playable games! Check out the full list of games and their classifications.

Game Masters is an interactive journey through five decades of video game history, offering both a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process behind the world’s most popular characters and franchises, and a chance to play them. Featuring interviews, never-before-seen concept artwork, an amazing display of vintage consoles and collectable items, and more than games than you can play in a day, visitors won’t want to leave!

Booking online before your visit is recommended, and allows fast-track entry on busy days. Tickets will also be available onsite (subject to availability).

A program of special events and screenings will complement the exhibition for the duration of the season.

Created and curated by ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image), Game Masters first opened in Melbourne in 2012. It has since toured to nine museums worldwide including venues in the USA, Germany, New Zealand, Scotland and Sweden. Much loved by audiences around the globe, the exhibition has been refreshed at each leg of the tour and returns to Australia with new content.

Note: the content within Game Masters: The Exhibition has varying degrees and types of stimulus. If you are a person with ASD or sensory sensitivities and require further information about the exhibition, please email enquiries@nfsa.gov.au or see our front of house staff at reception. Information is also available for vision impaired and hard of hearing visitors, as well as those who require wheelchair/walker access.
