GA8 Curriculum Development
In this session, participants explore the foundations of GA8 and strengthen their capacity to develop AQF‑aligned Indigenous perspectives.
Participants will learn to:
- Examine the purpose and expectations of GA8 in teaching and learning.
- Build confidence in curating Indigenous‑led curriculum resources.
- Reflect on your own positionality and professional practice as educators.
- Examine your responsibility in the protection of Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP) rights when developing Indigenous curriculum,
- Explore a suite of GA8 curriculum resources and suggested learning activities.
- Source culturally appropriate, high‑quality materials that:
• Privilege Indigenous voice,
• Adopt strength‑based approaches,
• Promote ethical engagement with Indigenous perspectives.
- Develop culturally appropriate GA8 assessments and rubrics.
Afternoon Session
GA 8 Curriculum Delivery
In this session, participants will explore culturally safe teaching and learning principles and practices.
- Participants will build capability in:
• Delivering GA8 content in both online and in‑person classrooms,
• Applying sensitive content disclaimers,
• Managing challenging conversations,
• Providing informed feedback on GA8‑related assessments.
