Description

The Veuve Clicquot Business Women Award was established in 1972 to celebrate 200 years of Maison Clicquot and honour the legacy of the audacious Madame Clicquot, one of the first modern business women.

Future Women and Veuve Clicquot are proud to present the Business Women Award Talks. An event celebrating bold, entrepreneurial Australian businesswomen, who reflect the innovative spirit of Madame Clicquot.

Join us for the Business Woman Award Talks with a glass of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label and light canapes at Pontoon St. Kilda 6:00pm on August 27th.

Your host, Future Women editor-at-large Jamila Rizvi will lead a panel discussion on topics of resilience, making bold moves in business and life, and challenging expectations with our panel of visionary women.

SPEAKERS:

Kate Morris, Adore Beauty

Kate Morris founded Adore Beauty in 1999 at the age of 21 from her garage in Melbourne. A university job on the cosmetics counters led Kate to realise that most women found department stores earnestly intimidating. Starting with just two little-known cosmetic companies on board, Adore Beauty has grown to more than 160 brands, 12,000 products, 1 million unique visitors a month, and over 1 million transactions a year with Kate at the helm. Kate has been awarded several accolades since launching Adore including; Deloitte’s Tech Fast 50 Australia, Smart Company's Smart 50 2016 and Australian Financial Review Young Rich List, 2018.

Grace Wong, Liven

Former lawyer, turned fintech startup entrepreneur, Grace Wong is the co-founder of Liven, a reward based lifestyle mobile payment wallet. Liven is an incentive-based mobile payments gateway and ecosystem purpose-built for the lifestyle and dining industries. Hundreds of thousands of people use Liven to discover thousands of restaurants, process millions in instant mobile payments, and earn LVN - The Digital Currency for Food. Powered by blockchain technology, LVN is a business-backed dynamic network utility token, algorithmically managed by the Liven reward protocol, and made universally accessible via the LivenPay API. Liven has raised $11M in funding and created a viral payment network that is used by over 250,000 users and thousands of merchants. Grace recently won B&T’s 30 under 30 award.

Jacqui Bull, Sidekicker

Jacqui Bull is the co-founder of Sidekicker, a technology platform backed by SEEK, that radically improves how businesses hire and manage casual and temporary staff. In June this year, Sidekicker raised AUD$10 million in funding from long-term strategic partner SEEK, taking the total amount raised to $23 million. As a co-founder she is the brains behind the strategic direction and growth of Sidekicker.

Sarah Holloway, Matcha Maiden

Sarah began her working life as a mergers and acquisitions lawyer at a leading international law firm. While she enjoyed several years building strong professional foundations, she found it increasingly challenging to reconcile the all-consuming corporate lifestyle with her personal passions for health, wellbeing, creativity and adventure. In pursuit of balance, Sarah and her partner started Matcha Maiden closing a gap they discovered in the health food market for matcha green tea powder. Matcha Maiden has a community of over 1500 stockists including Anthropologie across the USA, and a cutting edge cafe, Matcha Mylkbar, in St Kilda, Melbourne.

For those looking to extend their Champagne experience, we invite you to indulge in an unforgettable discovery dinner featuring four Veuve Clicquot Champagnes perfectly paired with the Stokehouse menu afterwards at 7:45pm for an additional $175.
