The future of HR has arrived and HR professionals need to be business inclined, tech-savvy and nimble enough to deal with an increasingly agile and rapidly transforming world of work.

Swinburne’s Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship (AGSE) invites you to join us as we bring together four leaders in the human resource space to debate ‘What HR leaders need to do to help their organisations thrive in the future.’ Gaynor Witts, Swinburne Adjunct will moderate the interactive panel discussion.

The event officially launches our renewed Master of Human Resource Management degree within the AGSE and the partnerships with Siemens & Medibank.

Panelists:

Melissa Wong | General Manager, People and Culture, Medibank

Melissa is passionate about creating exceptional experiences for employees, customers & communities. In her role at Medibank, Melissa’s responsibilities includes culture, capability, leadership, diversity & learning. As mum to two young boys, Mel is particularly proud of Medibank’s award-winning support for parents and families, which has seen Medibank recognised as an ‘Employer of Choice for Gender Equality’ as well as ‘Australia’s best workplace for dads’.

Adam Axon | Head of Global People and Culture, Papercut

Adam has spent his professional life helping organisations design a more purposeful employee experience, which empowers people to do amazing work. PaperCut's resident People Geek, he is currently accountable for the Global People Experience team. Their biggest priority at present is evolving their way of working to realise their vision of a non-hierarchical, adaptive & self-managing organisation.

Bec Grice | Learning Manager, Siemens

Bec is a Swinburne alum who has worked across talent acquisition, program management, learning and development for over 5 years at manufacturing giant Siemens. Being a mother of four young children Bec has always chosen roles that offer her flexibility, allowing her to enjoy both her career and home life. Ensuring flexibility at work for the workforce of today and the future is always front of mind.

Robert Brierley | Human Resources Director, PACCAR Australia

Robert’s responsibilities cover the full scope of HR as well as Learning & Development for Australia. As a Six Sigma Green Belt, Robert has a particular interest in its application to HR, process improvement, remuneration, analytics and metrics. With a workforce of over 1000 in Australia across 6 divisions, PACCAR has been successfully designing and manufacturing Kenworth Trucks at its Bayswater factory since 1971 and is the market leader in heavy duty trucks.
