Join Dietitian Preethika Nair and Developmental Educator Marwa Al-Bouch for a practical, interactive 4-hour workshop exploring fussy eating within disability using a holistic, multidisciplinary team approach.

With professional contributions from Associate Pharmacist Manya Angley and Speech Pathologist Monica Welsh, this session provides specialist insight into the impact of medication, swallowing considerations and communication needs.

Designed to strengthen your clinical confidence, this session will deepen your understanding of eating challenges across the lifespan. You’ll explore how sensory processing, oral-motor skills, communication, medication, culture and family routines intersect and learn practical strategies to better support families in everyday environments.


What You’ll Learn

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Understand the multifactorial nature of fussy eating in disability
  • Recognise the impact of sensory processing, oral-motor skills and communication on mealtimes
  • Identify how medication and swallowing considerations influence eating
  • Apply practical, capacity-building strategies in real-life family settings
  • Experience sensory-based activities and cooking tasks to deepen clinical insight
