The presenters

CSIRO’s Kick-Start: Peter Milic

Peter has broad multi sector experience in industrial biotechnology, biopharmaceuticals and the food (FMCG) industry. His skills include project and account management, business development, licensing and IP management. Initially Peter worked as a bioprocessing expert has managed numerous research teams and more recently focused on technology commercialisation and the management of patent portfolios. He has a Bachelor of Science with honours in biotechnology/biochemistry (University of New South Wales) and has completed an MBA (Macquarie University). Peter has held positions with Burns Philp, Temasek Life Sciences Laboratories (Singapore), Agrana, NewSouth Innovations (UNSW commercialisation office) and most recently managed business development and IP for the Sydney based start-up Microbiogen.

Accelerating Commercialisation's Allan Aaron

Allan is an Advisor with Accelerating Commercialisation - a $460m Federal Government program designed to assist Australian technology companies (with revenues of less than $20m per annum) grow by providing access to grant funding, expert business advice and relevant networks - Angel Investors, strategic partners and channels, and service providers. Allan focusses on assisting companies based in NSW and WA and is particularly interested in emerging companies in the Internet, IT & Communications sector as well as companies commercialising energy (traditional and clean energy), materials, manufactured products and sustainable technologies.

Jobs for NSW programs's Brendan Elliott

Brendan is the Client Engagement Advisor for Fast-Growing SMEs and focuses on aiding the acceleration and growth of NSW companies through direct loans and loan guarantees. Prior to Jobs for NSW, Brendan worked in InnovateNSW, NSW Trade & Investment and for the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office.
