Wound Innovations is proud to deliver the Full Fundamentals of Wound Management Workshop to health care professionals within Adelaide. This face-to-face workshop is equivalent to 6.5 continuing professional development (CPD) hours.

Wound Innovations face to face education program aims to increase staff knowledge, improve outcomes for residents with wounds, and promote organisational strategies for wound prevention. The full fundamentals of Wound Management covers the topics as listed below and has been broken down into four micro sessions.

Learning objectives / Topics covered:

- Pressure Injuries and Incontinence Associated Dermatitis

- The Skin and Wound Healing and Skin Tears

- Lower Leg Wounds

- Wound Assessment and Management

Upon completion of the workshop, certificates are issued outlining the course content and learning outcomes.

Presenter Bio: James Hobbs - SA/NSW Clinical Lead; James's wound career began 11 years ago when he graduated as a Tissue Viability Nurse in the UK . James spent 4 years working in various community nursing roles in the UK before emigrating to Australia in 2016. Since emigrating to Australia James has worked as a Wound Specialist Nurse and joined the team at Wound Innovations over 4 years ago. James is now the Clinical Lead (SA/NSW) and Head Wound Specialist Nurse for Wound Innovations in South Australia.

James provides support to aged care facilities, community care and GP clinics through delivering evidence-based wound care around a holistic assessment model. James enjoys both the educational and practical side of his role but has a strong focus is on instilling knowledge, skills and confidence in health care professionals across aged care and community care sectors, GP Clinics, as well as his own team in NSW and here in SA.

You will receive a full day of interactive learning, certificate of completion (equivalent of 6.5 CPD points), meeting with sponsorship reps to discuss the latest products to market, networking with peers, morning tea, and lunch.

What is your cancellation Policy?

As the event is partially catered for and the cost of the event is paid to the venue, based on the number of bookings. Cancellations are NON-Refundable or Transferrable to another date.
