Event description

Description

FSC Australia is pleased to announce we will be hosting a public forum 2-6pm, Thursday 22nd March 2018 at Library at the Dock, Docklands, (Melbourne).

The forum is an opportunity to learn where The Forest Stewardship Council is at locally, and where we are heading globally. The FSC system is built on participation and input, so your participation is highly valued, from those who are new to FSC to those who are experienced in the system.

The forum also marks an exciting visit and opportunity to engage with the FSC Global Director, Kim Carstensen. With a proven track record as a global leader within the environment and development sectors, including former roles with FairGreenSolutions and WWF, Mr Carstensen is extremely well-suited to consolidate FSC’s position as a global leader in responsible forest certification. You can read more from the FSC Director General on his blog, The Root of the Matter.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to:
- engage with the FSC Director General,
- provide feedback,
- learn where FSC is at, and going,
- get the story behind the label,
- understand FSC beyond compliance,
- gain industry insights
- join networking drinks.

The forum will consist of two sessions, one on forestry & certification the second on branding & sustainable business, followed by networking drinks.
