Drought Tour Fashion Presentation DEEPWATER – 4th April 2019

Frock Club is an award-winning fashion program featured recently on ABC national news

  • The session will examine:

- Issues facing the fashion industry and the public alike, such as:

o Clothes fitting incorrectly

o The fast fashion phenomenon / environmental (un)sustainability

o STEM studies’ connection to fashion

- We’ll then look at fashion between the wars … an incredibly innovative and exciting period for fashion

- Tips on styling will also be presented, as well as an opportunity to try on vintage garments and hats

Presenters:

  • Lois Hennes, Pattern Engineer and co-author of ‘The Fashion Design System: Pattern Engineering for the 21st Century’

  • Ruth Povall, Technical Designer and Pattern Engineer; Frock Club Founder

When:

  • Thursday 4th April: 8.45 am for 9.00 start – 12.00 noon

Where:

  • Deepwater School of Arts Hall, Tenterfield St, DEEPWATER 2371

Cost:

  • No charge to drought affected Frockers

  • Country style morning tea provided (courtesy of Deepwater P&C)

Optional:

  • Wear or bring a 1910 – 1945 garment from your collection to share with the group!
