Australia is a suburban nation, but too often the suburbs where most live, are neglected in favour of the centre, where a small urban elite lives and works. Ross Elliott, Chair of the Better Suburbs Initiative Board of the Brisbane City Council has long campaigned for a new concentration on the suburbs recognising that not only is that where most of us live, but it is where the jobs of the future will be found.

Ross founded The Suburban Alliance, publishes an irregular newsletter The Pulse, and is Regional Manager of property and infrastructure consultancy APP.
