Lakespeare is back with our fourth summer season of Canberra Shakespeare.Shakespeare by the Lakes IV: As You Like It will be our biggest event yet. We have a mixture of free outdoor park shows and boutique, paid shows at various price points.

Please consider opening night as an alternate option.******All attendees will be required to show their pre-registered tickets in order to gain entrance to this event in line with the latest advice from ACT Health around managing COVID-safe events. ***Lakespeare brings our free summer season of Shakespeare to Patrick White Lawns for the whole family to enjoy.Shakespeare by the Lakes IV: As You Like It will delight audiences around the Capital Region this summer. Directed by Tony Knight, this much-loved comedy tells a story about love overcoming adversity. It features mistaken identities, bad poetry (from the characters, not the author!), wandering jesters and enchanted forests. As You Like it is pure delight and it features several original musical pieces by composer Jay Cameron. Along with the fine cast, these will transport you to the forest of Arden and uplift your spirits. Forget any bad high school memories of Shakespeare and kick the COVID blues - this will be a tremendous amount of fun with plenty of local Canberra references.

A chair if you want to go in the chair zone. A blanket if it looks cold. We have vendors (more detail provided closer to the show), too, who can provide a range of sweet and savoury food options, coffee and alcohol.Show information1. SBTL is an outdoor event and we all must adapt to the weather conditions. Unless there is torrential rain or strong winds that are a threat to people or equipment, the show goes on. We invite our audience to enter into the joy and fun of what nature might bring and be open to a variety of experiences. There is no such thing as bad weather, there is only the wrong clothes.2. Chairs are only allowed in designated areas. So everyone can see, chairs will necessarily be set back from the main playing area.3. So everyone can see, umbrellas are not to be used during the performance. Patrons should use hooded rain jackets or ponchos.4. Lakespeare. reserves the right to add or remove performances, change venues and/or alter the start times of events. Of course, we only do this for good reasons and give you as much warning as possible.
