Temporary Relief Teachers with the Salisbury TRT Scheme are invited to attend
A FREE TRT PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP 2016
Tuesday 19th April Parafield Gardens R-7 Primary School
Entry via 23 Shepardson Road Parafield Gardens main car park.
A Professional Learning Workshop focussing on the TRBSA requirements, literacy in the upper primary classroom, and primary maths strategies.
Places are limited to 120 participants, registrations close 8th April
A $5 donation on entry for morning tea, and certificate is requested.

Each session will be followed by a 15 minutes group discussion

Arrival and sign in
9:30 – 10:30am
Session 1: Literacy in Upper primary: encouraging students to share their learning.
Volunteer Speaker: Anne Frankel. Anne has had over 30 years of experience. She has worked in numerous schools and is currently teaching at Woodcroft Primary School. Feedback time included.

Professional Learning Classmovie and discussion
11:00am
Morning Tea
11:30am – 12:30pm
Session 2: TRBSA addressing registration, professional learning and portal access. Feedback time included.
12:45 – 1:30pm
Lunch – Either bring your own lunch or food can be purchased at local shops. Please be prompt in your attendance at each session as the speakers are giving up their time.
1:30 – 2:30pm
Session 3: Maths Strategies to Engage Students.
Volunteer Speaker: Sue Williams. Sue has over 30 years of experience, and is currently teaching at Seaview Downs Primary School. Sue was formerly an Australian Curriculum Coordinator. Feedback time included.
2:30 – 3:00pm
