About this event

NAISDA Dance College has been proudly dancing on Darkinjung Land for over a decade. During these days of lockdown, we wanted to find a way to reach out safely to our mobs and communities, and maintain connection to Country, culture and each other.

We invite you to join our Cultural Tutors and students for a free Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Youth Dance Workshop by Zoom next Wednesday 8 September.

Head of Cultural Practice Jo Clancy, Cultural Dance Tutors Stuart McMinn and Berthalia Reuben and NAISDA students will lead a morning of gathering, dance and reflection, including:

11.35am - Acknowledgement of Countrys and introductions

11.40am - Warm-up with NAISDA students led by Justine Priest and Jaydn Bin-Garape

11.45am - Dharug cleansing dance and yarma ngarlie with Stuart McMinn

12.00pm - Torres Strait Islander Dance with Berthalia Reuben

12.10pm - Vibration, Contemporary Aboriginal Dance with Jo Clancy

12.25pm - Thank you, stay safe and keep connected

This is a free COVID-safe Zoom event.
