Founders' Day 2026

Founders' Day 2026

St Peters Lutheran CollegeIndooroopilly, QLD
Friday, Feb 20 from 8 am to 12:30 pm AEST
Overview

St Peters Lutheran College honours Founders' Day and SPOSA celebrates 80 years of lifelong connection

Eighty one years ago, on 20 February 1945, St Peters Lutheran College opened its doors amidst global adversity. After nine months of vision, planning, fundraising, and the dedicated efforts of volunteers determined to bring Pastor Gerhard Dohler’s dream to life, the College welcomed its first cohort of 56 pioneering boarders—28 girls and 28 boys.

From those early days, St Peters has grown into a thriving community built on faith, education, service and lifelong connection. This spirit has continued beyond the College gates through the St Peters Old Scholars Association (SPOSA), which this year proudly celebrates its 80th anniversary.

To mark these dual milestones, this year’s Founders’ Day Assembly will honour the generations who have shaped our College’s story. In a special focus on connections across the generations, the College will reflect on its past, celebrate the present, and look ahead to the future with our Old Scholars, students, staff, and community.

We warmly invite you to join us for this significant occasion.
