A collab workshop by [RE]RUN x We Are Runners. Blueprints for every runners: Form, Strength, Logic, and Fuel.
Overview
01. Sounding out what’s important.
It’s hard to tune in to what matters when there’s so much noise around running. We’re stripping away the fluff to focus on the variables that are actually important: form, strength, and nutrition.
02. Realistic Ideals. Professional Logic.
Most runners (from 3km to 300km) face the same foundational hurdles with injury and fueling. This isn't just for the elites; it's for anyone who wants the blueprints to stay on the road, trail, or track. Whether you are training for your first 5km, returning from injury, or a seasoned marathoner, every runner deserves to know the foundations.
The Blueprint
We meet at Niccolo Coffee at 9:00 AM for a briefing before heading to the Olympic Park Athletics Track. The session is designed as a modular experience, moving from physical movement to technical theory.
The Itinerary:
- 01 Greet: Coffee, intro, and the structure of the morning.
- 02 Work: Warm-up and a light, conversational jog to the track (6–7 min/km).
- 03 Form & Structure: A hands-on workshop with Shai ([RE]RUN Physiotherapy) on mechanical efficiency and tissue tolerance.
- 04 Return: Jog or walk back to base at Niccolo and enjoy some coffee and snacks.
- 05 Logic: A dive into designing a running plan that lasts and avoiding 'fixing' on-the-go
- 06 Fuel: Nutrition and recovery fundamentals with Gabrielle (We Are Runners Nutrition).
- 07 Dialogue: Open Q&A - access to both a Physio and Dietitian for your specific hurdles.
The Details
- Date: Saturday May 23rd
- Time: 9:00 AM
- Location: Niccolo Coffee, Cremorne / Olympic Park Track
- Investment: $89 (Includes coffee and workshop materials)
Limited Capacity. Designing, not fixing.
About The Hosts
Shai Patel, [RE]RUN
Shai is a Physiotherapist and the founder of [RE]RUN, a service built on a 'designing, not fixing' philosophy. Born from his own injury journey, Shai built [RE]RUN to provide amateur runners with the professional logic usually reserved for the elites.
He moves away from the "injury-recovery" loop to focus on technical blueprints: mechanical efficiency, tissue tolerance, and block design. As a life-long runner himself, Shai is dedicated to stripping away the noise; giving you the knowledge to stay on the track, move with intent, and find a high-output state that actually feels like home.
Gabrielle Orr, We Are Runners
Gabrielle is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian who's worked with runners from their first 5km race to ultra's. She believes nutrition should feel supportive, not restrictive, and that a chill, enjoyable relationship with food comes first. As a runner herself, she keeps her approach practical, flexible, and grounded in real life.
