Foundational Watercolour Course at MAC yapang
A hands-on introduction to the essentials of watercolour painting across five consecutive Fridays.
Whether you're completely new to watercolours or ready to strengthen your fundamentals, this five‑week workshop series will guide you through the core building blocks of the medium. Each Friday focuses on a key element of successful watercolour practice, giving you practical knowledge, time to experiment, and confidence to explore your own creative voice. This course is led by artist and educator Tallulah Cunningham.
Across the course, we’ll dive into:
Papers – explore textures, weights, and surfaces to understand how they shape your results
Pigments – learn about colour behaviour, transparency, granulation, and how to build beautiful palettes.
Brushes – compare shapes, fibres, and techniques to see what different brushes can really do.
Water & Washes – master control of water, ratios, and foundational wash methods.
Linework & Details – finish with techniques for adding definition, structure, and expressive mark‑making.
