Foundation for Reconciliation (Perth - May, Sept)
Kick-start cultural competency journey with Red Dust. In this workshop we work together to establish your foundation for cultural awareness
In partnership with remote Indigenous communities, we facilitate genuine two-way learning and cultural exchange in safe environments for dynamic conversations about country, mob, family and identity.

What to expect?
- Free access to Red Dust's Reconciliation Essentials online learning modules with each ticket.
- Understand what Reconciliation is, where you fit into Reconciliation and what role/s you can play.
- Understand where you fit into the identity, geography and history of Australia.
- Understand why and when to Acknowledge Country and deliver it in a meaningful way for you and your audience.
- Establish your cultural foundation by exploring three questions: Who's your mob? where's your Country? and what's your cultural and spiritual background?
- Build an understanding about Aboriginal history and Australian history as we explore the timeline that created Australia as we know it today.
- Opening support development, delivery and shared ownership of your organisation's Reconciliation Action Plan.
- Genuine two-way exchange.
- Develop and improve cross-cultural competency.
- Build stronger relationships and respect between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians.
- Create opportunities for Indigenous Australians to share their cultural story.
- Develop a culturally safe workplace.
