In this advanced workshop you will use the skills learned in the beginner workshop to forge a set of tools that you can use to forge at home. You will use your new found skills to forge Five hand punch tools, forge to shape and hear treated. This workshop requires completion of the Introductory to Blacksmithing workshop as the basic skills learned are essential for this workshop.

Time:- 10am to 2pm
Duration:- 4 hours
The day starts with a Safety Induction and then we briefly cover some blacksmithing concepts and tools. This is followed by a demonstration of some basic techniques,
Together we will practise hammer control, tong selection and moving the steel to shape. This is a small workshop of max 4 students. If you need to reschedule, please make contact ASAP.
Suitable For:-
Anyone over 16 years old with a parent doing the workshop together.
Anyone able to lift a 1.5 kg hammer
Anyone able to follow basic safety instructions as provided by your instructor who is with you every step of the way.
We recommend wearing full-length pants and closed-toe shoes on the day. We will provide blacksmith aprons and suitable eye and ear protection.
The workshop will be held in the backyard of our location in Kyabram, Victoria in a shed under roof
