About this event

  • 8 hours

Throughout human history, the spear has been prolific in hunting and warfare. It holds a prominent place in our cultural memory, from Homer’s epics to the Viking sagas and Medieval legends.

In this full-day workshop, you will learn to make a historical Viking or Medieval spearhead in a traditional style using traditional forging techniques such as forge welding. You will forge your spear with a blunt tip like those used at reenactment events.

At the end of the workshop, you will take your spear home with you.
