Come and join in the rad fun times, learn new skills, gain confidence, meet new friends, and have fun, thanks to the City of Kalamunda

Freestyle Now will be conducting FREE skatepark coaching workshop sessions at the Forrestfield skatepark for participants in Skateboard, Scooter, BMX, Rollerskate. Each coaching workshop session is 50 minutes in duration. The first session will be dedicated to beginners in the skatepark, looking to gain basic skills and confidence who are 6 years and under. The second session will be for beginners over the age of 6 who are looking to gain basic skills and confidence. The third session would be open to any participant over the age of 6 who has skatepark experience and would like to increase their skill level, get advice on tricks and gain new confidence levels. These workshop sessions fun, informative and motivational and will help participants learn confidence skills and understanding of skatepark activities. The Freestyle Now coaches help the participants ride at their own level and encourage progression. All our instructors are very easy going and relate to the participants well. Our workshops cover all aspects of the sports, as well as equipment maintenance and personal safety issues. All equipment is checked prior to the participant’s involvement to make sure that it is in a safe condition and minor repairs or adjustments can be made if necessary. We do, however, reserve the right to not permit a participant to attend the workshop if we feel that their equipment does not meet safety requirements. Session 1 - 3:30pm (Under 6 years of age - Beginner)

Session 2 - 4:30pm (Over 6 years of age - Beginner)

Session 3 - 5:30pm (Over 6 years of age - Intermediate)

Key points

  • Limited spare scooters and skateboard will be available
  • Coaching workshops are not suitable for 3 wheeled plastic scooters.
  • Participants must be wearing a helmet
  • Please remember to bring some water and wear sunscreen
  • Parents must stay on site if their child is under 12
  • Please arrive 15 minutes early to register your attendance
  • Disclaimer form will need to be signed on the day

The squad members let the participants ride at their own level and encourage progression.
