Flux Exhibition - information session

Yarrila Arts and MuseumCoffs Harbour, NSW
Thursday, Mar 5, 2026 from 4 pm to 7 pm AEDT
Overview

Flux is an upcoming exhibition of selected works by Coastal ClayMakers members at YAM in October. Come along to find out more about it.

INFORMATION SESSION ABOUT FLUX

Flux is an exciting opportunity for Coastal Claymakers’ members who are willing to take up the challenge of making a small work to fit within the dimensions of 15 x 15 x 40cm.

This selective group exhibition model is inspired by the successful Australian Ceramics Association’s members’ exhibition Held in 2024.

Flux will provide a great visual cross section of the creative diversity of ceramic practice in our region.

To support our members submitting an application for FLUX, we are providing this information and support session allowing space for questions and sharing of ideas, and to better understand the application and selection process.

Members of the Coastal ClayMakers committee will be there to share their own knowledge and experience of similar processes and lead discussions. This includes Phil Greed, Cath Fogarty and Sophie Alexander.

The session enables people to see the space where the exhibition will be held and meet some of the YAM curatorial staff.

In May we are also facilitating a workshop about photographing your work using your mobile phone. Great photos of your work are important for promotion, marketing and other applications.

Key details about the exhibition:

Members are invited to submit up to three ceramic works for consideration and selection by YAM curators and a respresentative from The Australian Ceramics Association

Submissions can be:

  • Functional or sculptural and/or
  • Experimental, reflecting how clay captures memory and motion
