Fix-It Fair
The Fix-It Fair is a free community event helping residents save money, reduce waste, and give household items a longer life.
Join us at the Fix-It Fair, a free, family-friendly community event packed with practical tips, hands-on activities and inspiration to help you save money, reduce waste and make the most of the things you already own.
Discover local waste and recycling services, the Library of Things, energy-saving programs and Gardens for Wildlife, while enjoying plant giveaways, home pickling and clothing-mending hacks and activities hosted by community partners including the Men’s Shed and Banksia Gardens.
It's a fun day out for all ages with plenty of ideas to help you live more sustainably.
We will be holding a family clothing swap during the Fix-It Fair.
Check-in: 11am-12pm.
Swap starts promptly: 12pm
Swap finishes: 1pm.

What to bring
- Up to 7 seasonally appropriate clothing items in excellent condition
- Clothing for any age, size or gender
- Tops, shirts, blouses, jackets
- Pants, jeans, shorts
- Skirts, dresses, suits
- Belts, bags and shoes
Items we can't accept
- Jewellery and wigs
- Underwear, socks and swimwear
- Sportswear and activewear
- Stained, torn or unclean items
- Worn-out, pilling, frayed or damaged clothing
Please ensure all items are clean, freshly laundered and free from stains, rips, holes or significant wear. Only bring items you would be happy to give to a friend.

Fruit Net Swap at the Gardens for Wildlife stall
Fruit Net Swap
Have an old illegal fruit net at home? (if you can put your fingers through the net holes it needs to be swapped) We'd love you to bring it along to the Fix-It Fair. Swap it for a wildlife-safe alternative and help keep local birds and animals safe while protecting your precious harvest. Choose from a large wildlife-safe fruit net, fruit sleeves, or a pack of fruit bags. Together, we can make our gardens safer for everyone.
