These FishAbility sessions are part of an inclusive program FREE to Victorians living with a disability.
Designed specifically to cater for all levels of ability, this accessible Fishing Event seeks to promote time in nature, social interaction, rehabilitation, & fun via Fishing.
Supported by our Fishcare Victoria staff and volunteers, all fishing gear & bait is provided for use, including adaptive options to suit specific physical needs.
We do request that support workers/carers accompany all participants, and play an active role in the overall well-being of the individual throughout the session - please indicate any specific needs in your booking details. Carers are NOT required to book a ticket for themselves.
ALL participants are covered under our Group Fishing Licence.
Please Note:
If you are unable to use a booking, please cancel via Eventbrite as soon as possible - these sessions are sought-after, with limited spaces available.
Cancellation of a session may be required by the organiser when predicted adverse weather or other conditions may be unsafe or unsuitable - notifications will be made via email & mobile SMS, sometimes within 24 hours of the intended start time.
Paid parking is available nearby to the fishing area; accessible public toilets & cafe nearby.
