The City of Coffs Harbour’s Resilience and Recovery service empowers you to plan to recover from disasters.The fires, floods and pandemic of recent years have shown us that disasters happen fast and can have long-lasting impacts. Increasing skills in managing them is a way to help us stay safer, even in unstable situations. We can all learn how to better prepare for, respond to and recover from disaster no matter our background or where we live or work.The Resilience and Recovery Service can connect you with resources and people to help – all events  and workshops are free.

If you’re aged 14-19, register your expression on interest (EOI) for the FREE First Responder Fundamentals workshops!Learn from local experts in emergency services the skills and knowledge required to face emergencies and confidently assist others.<ul><li>Get hands-on with real emergency equipment and take part in simulation exercises.</li><li>Master teamwork like a pro.</li><li>Build confidence to handle tough situations and help others when it counts.</li><li>Gain skills that can open career pathways and look great on your resume.</li></ul>Who knows? There are limited positions on the day, register your EOI now so you don't miss out on this opportunity to attend a First Responder Fundamentals workshop!EOI round 2 registrations close on Wednesday 27 March at 11:59pm.There are two workshops available, one in Coffs Harbour on Thurs 11 April and one in Woolgoolga on Friday 12 April.All young people are welcome to this safe and inclusive workshop space. Young women and teens from First Nations and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds are particularly encouraged to apply.Proudly presented by the City of Coffs Harbour.
