Consuming naturally fermented foods provides a multitude of health benefits. Not only do fermented foods improve your digestive health by increasing digestive enzymes and promoting the growth of healthy gut flora, they also enhance the absorption of nutrients, help to boost the body's immune system and promote mental health. In this hands-on workshop you will explore the history and review current research into the benefits of fermentation as well as master the basics of preparing fermented foods.
Marcea Klein B.A. BSc. is passionate about working with people as a Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Holistic Health and Nutritional Counsellor and Wholefoods Cooking Instructor.
Marcea has appeared on television, established and directed the East West Centres and Wholefood Cooking Schools in Sydney and London and is a journalist and published author of 7 books.
Time: 9.30am registration, 10.00am start. 5.00pm finish
CPE: 12 CPE points (ATMS policy accrues 1 CPE point for each hour of approved educational time).
Please bring: your lunch. Students will need to bring (to both days) note pad and pen, or computer/Ipad; Apron; 2 sterilized jars (2 cup capacity each) or smaller vegetables will be provided however students may bring any additional vegetables that they are wanting to ferment.
Who should attend? Naturopaths, Nutritionists and wellness practitioners interested in learning how to prepare a variety of fermented foods.

ATMS cancellation policy: bookings cancelled between 7 and 21 days before the seminar date are able to transfer the booking to another seminar. Bookings cancelled with less than 7 days notice before the seminar date will not be entitled to any refund.
