FAN fundamentals Belly Dance - Siren Society Project Fan Dialect

Improvised Fan Fundamentals

New dancers will be introduced to the fan along with slow and fast movements from the Siren Society Fan Project Dialect. Dancers are introduced to fundamental concepts and structure of belly dance Fan improvisation.

Dancers returning to fundamentals will be able to work on foundation refinement and execution. Dancers will get a deeper understanding and connection to improvisation and will be critiqued accordingly.

This class will be a prerequisite, along with the Shawl/Manton introduction class, to joining classes for term 2, 3 and 4.

A fan is required for week 1 onwards. If you don’t have a fan please contact Mandylynne

• Term Duration: 8 weeks per term

• Cost per term: $120 for the 8 weeks

• Time: 5.00pm - 6.00pm Friday

• Class format delivery: In person at DanceSpace383 in Wollongong (NSW, Australia) as well as being streamed live online via Zoom.

What you need for class:

• Fan

• A Towel

How the Sessions are run: The live in studio class will be recorded via Zoom. Students can attend the live class either in person or via zoom *. Sessions will be recorded via Zoom and Zoom recordings will be available for the duration of the term**. A special FaceBook page will be created for recordings*** and questions. If you don’t have FaceBook please let me know and we can arrange other means of accessing the material.

Students who are studying via zoom are encouraged to send through dance drill footage for review.

Payment: There is two types of tickets available.

1) Pay Via Eventbrite for the term payment of $120 + Event Brite Fees for the 8 weeks.

2) The 'FREE' option is for CURRENT ENROLLED Birds of Paradise Belly Dance Students ONLY. Current Students can register for the event via Eventbrite and make the $120 payment via DD. If you are not a current enrolled student and you select this payment option THE TICKET WILL BE REFUNDED.

You acknowledge that by participating in classes that:

*Technology sometimes doesn't play nice and if the online option becomes unavailable then online students will need to catch up via the recordings. If the recordings them selves are not accessible then Mandylynne will proved recordings on the movements / concepts that were covered in the class to 'make up' for the technology error.

**By agreeing to attend the live classes, either in person or via zoom, you understand and agree that the sessions are being recorded and will be available for students to view for the duration of the term only. These recordings may be used in the future by Mandylynne for class content.

***The sharing of class videos, links and downloading content is strictly prohibited.

****You understand that dance is a physical activity and you are participating at your own risk.

*****If Mandylynne (instructor) is unable to attend class then one of the following may occur:

• Mandylynne will provide a 'make up class' either in person or via zoom.

• Mandylynne will provide recordings for students in lieu of the missed class.

• If either of the above are not available then Mandylyyne will provide a refund for the class she was unable to teach.
