#BeBoldForChange - Celebrate International Women’s Day 2018

Visit the final resting places of famous women in the historic Melbourne General Cemetery in Carlton.

They include Lady Janet Clarke, remarkable society woman and philanthropist; Dame Pattie Menzies, Prime Minister’s wife and supporter of women; Lady Elizabeth Barkly, wife of the Governor who is buried with her infant son; Florence Young, popular singer and actress; Louisa Barrow, resilient partner of Sir Redmond Barry; and Mietta O’Donnell, prominent restaurateur. Learn about their fascinating stories and celebrate their lives on this special day for women.

All tour proceeds are used for restoration projects.

What do I need to bring?

All participants must wear closed-toe walking shoes. Please wear sensible clothing for weather.

What are my parking options?

You can park within the grounds of Melbourne General Cemetery.

Do I need to arrive before the tour or at the time listed on my ticket?

Please arrive by 1.50pm for a 2.00pm start.

Refunds are not available and tours will go ahead regardless of weather.
