Family Violence Training for Financial Counsellors: 1-Day Advanced Unit

The Advanced Level Unit builds provides expert training for all specialist Family Violence financial counsellors in Victoria and financial counsellors who:

• hold a leadership or supervisory role
• work regularly with clients who have experienced family violence and/or economic abuse
• wish to deepen and extend their skills working with clients who have experienced family violence and/or economic abuse

Completion of the Foundation Level Unit is a prerequisite for participation in the Advanced Level Unit.

The session is grounded in practical casework scenarios. Participants will learn to:

• Apply specialist skills and knowledge required to address complex family violence and economic abuse casework
• Support others delivering financial counselling services in a family violence and/or economic abuse context

Women’s Legal Service Victoria and WIRE Women’s Information are industry experts in working with clients impacted by family violence. This session will include presenter-led and group discussion based on actual scenarios.
