FAMILY CONNECTIONS – Adult Workshop / Support Group
Family Connections is a free, 12-week course delivered in weekly 2-hour sessions.
It supports family members, partners and friends of people experiencing emotion dysregulation or Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).
The program combines education, practical skills and peer support to help you feel more confident, connected and supported.
What you will gain:
Education
- Up-to-date information on BPD, emotion dysregulation and the impact on family relationships.
Coping skills
Practical strategies based on Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to:
- manage stress
- regulate emotions
- support your loved one more effectively
Family & communication skills
Tools for:
- effective communication
- problem-solving
- building healthier relationships
- Peer support
Connect with others who understand your experience and reduce feelings of isolation.
When
Start date: 11 March
This program runs for 12 weekly sessions.
The remaining session dates will be provided at registration.
If you miss a session, facilitators will ensure you stay connected and receive the course content.

Cost
Free - This program is funded by the Mental Health Commission to adults who are impacted by mental health challenges within their family or environment.

- Please note: This booking is an Expression of Interest only and does not confirm attendance.
- A member of the Helping Minds team will contact you to complete the registration and eligibility process.
- If we are unable to make contact within 5 business days, your Expression of Interest may be withdrawn.
- Once eligibility is confirmed, an official Eventbrite ticket will be issued.
