About this event

The FINE virtual program delivers the same content as our face to face program in a slightly different format. During face to face FINE training you spend 1.5 days exploring the theory and evidence that supports application of neuro-developmentally supportive care. The FINE Level 1 virtual program content is delivered via four modules, three of which are self directed, and one is completely virtual with the FINE faculty:

Module 1*

Overview: Program Introduction (activities consist of a brief presentation, self-evaluation and access to resources)

Facilitation: Self-directed learning

Estimated Duration: 30 minutes

Completion Date: Prior to Wednesday 24 November 2021

Module 2*

Overview: Program Pre-Reading

Facilitation: Self-directed learning

Estimated Duration: 2 hours

Completion Date: Prior to Wednesday 24 November 2021

Module 3*

Overview: Complete Activities (activities consist of videos, recorded presentations and learning activities)

Facilitation: Self-directed learning

Estimated Duration: 3.5 hours

Completion Date: Prior to Wednesday 24 November 2021

Module 4

Overview: Virtual training with the FINE Faculty

Facilitation: Virtual (via Zoom - link to be sent closer to the date)

Date: Wednesday 1 December 2021 | 8:00am - 4:00pm

Requirements for Module 4:

To participate, you will need each of the following:

  • Access to a laptop or desktop computer (note: each registrant is required to access the program via an individual computer, not shared).
  • A working webcam and microphone (to be turned on for the duration of training)
  • A stable wifi connection
  • A quiet, calm place to participate from
  • A doll and some linen (to practice making supportive bedding)
  • FINE program resources (hard copies to be posted to registrants in advance)
  • Snacks

Program deferrals and refunds

In the event you are unable to commence the program you are registered for we will transfer your registration to the next upcoming program. Refunds are offered on an individual case by case basis.

Sometimes life gets busy and it is hard to fit everything in! We understand this and will offer you the opportunity to defer the completion of the program for up to 12 months, the revised date for the completion of your program will be provided with one program deferral offered per participant. Deferrals are undertaken in consultation with the program coordinator and require email communication
