Training for Lived experience (Peer) workers and other people who facilitate peer groups and activities.

This free workshop is designed for Lived Experience (Peer) workers and other people who facilitate Peer groups or activities.

At the completion of this session, you will be able to:

  • Understand how to create an effective peer group.
  • Understand how to create safer and more inclusive spaces.
  • Identify key facilitator skills and reflect on personal facilitation challenges.
  • Learn how to navigate common challenges and disruptions.

Are you a Lived Experience (Peer) worker?

A peer worker uses their lived experience of mental health/alcohol and other drugs/family domestic or sexual violence/homelessness/incarceration to connect with people in similar lived experience to inspire hope and recovery in others. Peer work can be paid or unpaid.

This workshop will be taking place in the training room at Consumers of Mental Health WA.

The workshop is free - we do ask that you become a member of Consumers of Mental Health WA (this is also free).
