Course Overview: The aim of this course is to provide participants with knowledge of the Queensland Disaster Management Arrangements.

Course Objectives:

On completion of the course, participants should have knowledge of:

  • Disaster management legislation, doctrine, principles and approaches
  • Local, District and State disaster management group structures and functions
  • Prevention, Preparedness, Response and Recovery activities
  • Disaster declaration arrangements

Disaster funding arrangements

Prerequisites:

Only applicable to government and those with designated roles in DM. (No prerequisite for this course)
