Extra Access Induction Session

During our induction session, a Darebin Libraries staff member will introduce you to our Extra Access service. Once you’ve completed the session, you’ll be able to visit the library during Extra Access hours.

Things to know before you come along to the session:

• The session will run for approximately 1 hour. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes before your session starts.

• You must be a current Darebin Libraries member before registering for Extra Access induction.

• You must be at least 16 years old to apply for Extra Access membership. 16-17-year-olds must have guarantor approval.

• You must complete the full induction and agree to the terms and conditions to be approved for Extra Access.
• You will need to access your email on a mobile device each time you use Extra Access. As part of the verification process, we email a one-time code which you need to enter at the keypad.

What you need to bring:

• Your Darebin Libraries membership card, or if you use the Darebin Libraries app you can present your digital card.

• Photo ID and proof of current address in Victoria.
• Your mobile device with email access

Parental/Guardian Consent for 16-17-year-olds:

• A parent or legal guardian must attend the induction session in person with the applicant, sign an agreement form and present valid ID.
