Exploring the Roots of a Garden - Afternoon Session
This guided activity follows in the footsteps of the founders of the Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Garden.
This year the Botanic Garden turns 40! Join a guided walk tracing its beginnings, starting in the Herbarium, exploring early plant collections and stock plants, and finishing with a relaxed stroll among heritage species still flourishing today — including the iconic Chef’s Cap Correa.
The original founders collected nearly 1,000 specimens representing around 500 species. Many were propagated as nursery stock, with descendants still growing in the Garden today.
Presented by ERBG’s Honorary Herbarium Curator, Tricia Kaye, and nursery volunteer Lesley Vincent, this activity celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Garden.
