This workshop will be presented by Scott Gibson who has over 15 years experience supporting children, educators, teachers, principals, managers and families around the benefits of engaging children in nature.
Scott has recently presented the topic of children in nature at New Zealand's Te Rito Maioha Early Childhood Conference and is now excited to share his passion and knowledge with you.

This practical and interactive workshop caters for all levels of experience and will be held within the beautiful Hollybank State Reserve. Here you will have the opportunity to delve into the following areas:

- Preparing for the natural environment
- A benefit risk approach to managing natures challenges
- Engaging and supporting children in risky play (earth, air, fire and water)
- Discovering the the nature classroom
- Science, technology, engineering, art and maths (STEAM) in nature
- Connecting to the seasons


Please be aware this session will be held within a bushland environment, therefore it is important to ensure you wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
