A one-day immersive workshop for beginners to emerging painters, exploring the process of creating a resolved landscape oil painting from a photograph. Across the day, you’ll explore observation, composition, tonal value, colour theory and mixing, and brushwork—learning how to build depth, atmosphere and a strong sense of place. Through hands-on learning and step-by-step guidance, you’ll develop foundational oil painting techniques from underpainting through to final layers, gain a deeper understanding of light and shadow, and grow confidence working with oil paint.
