Expatland Giving Back Volunteering Event
Expatland Giving Back (‘EGB') is a registered entity that operates as a non-profit organization.
EGB encourages expatriates and their friends to help those in their local communities. On this occasion, EGB inviting you to join us on our volunteering event in collaboration with FoodBank NSW & ACT.
Your day with us will be a great opportunity to strengthen and build relationships, while also assisting with the packing and sorting of food to help feed those in need across NSW & ACT.
By joining together let us help fight hunger and make a difference!
If you've volunteered and you find yourself unable to attend, please notify us at least a week in advance to ensure we can find a replacement.

What to Wear: Comfortable casual clothes e.g. Jeans/Shorts/T'Shirt etc. suitable for warehouse work. We will provide an Expatland Giving T'Shirt for everyone to wear on the day. FULLY ENCLOSED rubber soled SHOES ON. All staff, visitor or volunteers and anyone collecting products must wear enclosed footwear (footwear which covers the whole foot) at all times.
Please check your travel time to make sure you arrive on time at 8:00am.

Location: Foodbank NSW & ACT Distribution Centre 50 Owen Street Glendenning NSW 2761
Meeting Point: Foodbank DC large garage door at above location
Getting Here: By car is the easiest way. Some parking is available onsite in car park and on the street. The nearest train station is Rooty Hill, then 8 minutes by taxi (3.8Kms) OR the T756 bus from Rooty Hill Station drops off at Power St (Opp.Kilto Cr). Glendenning, with an 8 minute walk to Foodbank.
Activity: Picking and packing food orders, sorting mixed food to be sent our welfare charity partners for to feed those who would otherwise go hungry.
8:00am Please ensure to arrive promptly so Foodbank can induct everyone at the same time.
8:00 - 8:25am Welcome, induction and health and safety.
8:25 - 8:45am Warehouse instruction. Pick/pack food orders, sort mixed food.
10:25 - 10:45am Morning tea break. Foodbank will provide tea/coffee facilities. A mobile
lunch truck visits there at 10:25am and morning tea will be provided.
1:30 - 2:00pm Finish volunteering.
Children at Foodbank NSW & ACT:
Children under the age of 15 are not allowed on Foodbank NSW & ACT site. This does not apply if the child or children are being supervised at all times by an adult and who attend only the office or if the child remains in the vehicle and under the supervision of an adult at all times.
Please note this is a DRY SITE, therefore due to OH&S regulations, no alcohol is to be consumed or carried on-site at any time.
