Current research shows the value of movement in maintaining health and strength of collagenous, muscular and body tissues. This also emphasizes the need for joint movement and high levels of activity throughout the life cycle. The aim of corrective exercises is to assist establish biomechanical integrity that optimize structure and function addressing strength and flexibility between muscle groups. Structure and function imbalances can lead to pain and dysfunction in your clients muscles and joints.
The workshop will focus on anatomical assessment and corrective exercises to assist realignment and recovery. We will review the frequent causes that perpetuate common injuries that can restrict the rehabilitation and recovery process. You will practice and gain confidence in muscle length tests and flexibility assessment. This is an experiential workshop and practitioners are encouraged to participate. Preferably wear loose comfortable clothing.
This is a very hands on workshop. Please bring your massage table and equipment.
Chris Beazley initially graduated in Remedial Massage in 1994. He has been involved in the training of professional massage practitioners since 1997. Chris currently is a trainer of the health training package qualifications Certificate IV in Massage Therapy and Diploma of Remedial Massage. He also has 17 years experience as a student clinic supervisor and has had clinical practice experience since graduating in 1994. Chris has a special interest in assisting practitioners grow and gain a deeper understanding of the profound healing available through a variety of massage styles and modalities.
He has had numerous careers prior to qualifying as a Remedial Massage Practitioner and has had international massage training experience with the School of Integrated Body Therapy in Hanoi, Vietnam. Chris is a passionate, caring and enthusiastic presenter who thoroughly enjoys teaching and working with natural medicine practitioners. Chris is an ATMS member.

Pre-requisite: Massage, bodywork or TCM qualification.
CPE: 12 CPE points (ATMS policy accrues 1 CPE point for each hour of approved educational time).
Cancellation policy: bookings cancelled between 7 and 21 days before the seminar/webinar date are able to transfer the booking to another seminar/webinar. Bookings cancelled with less than 7 days notice before the seminar date will not be entitled to any refund.
Please note: if it is deemed that a seminar is not viable, it may be postponed or cancelled by ATMS. Participants of the seminar would be notified of the postponement or cancellation approximately 1 week before the scheduled date of the seminar.
