The workshop will step participants through how to assess risks for an event or festival and create a Risk Management Plan.

The workshop will be presented by Emily O’Brien from Elucidate, one of Australia’s leading teachers of Event, Risk and Safety Plans. Emily has 20 years of experience as a practising Production and Risk Manager with 'First In Last Out'.

Topics include:

  • What is a Risk and Safety Assessment?
  • Understanding why and what to include in a Risk and Safety Plan
  • Working through the creation of a Risk Assessment and Management Plan
  • Identify, Eliminate, Minimise, Control, Monitor
  • Helpful templates to use

  • Safety officer's responsibilities

Refreshments available on arrival. Doors open at 6pm to encourage networking with other event organisers, with the two hour workshop starting at 6.30pm.
