About this event

  • 2 hours 30 minutes

Join us for a heritage walk along Enoggera Terrace and immerse yourself in the stories of the Shire of Ithaca.

The walk will commence at the corner of Enoggera Terrace and Latrobe Terrace at the substation. The first part is a bit of a climb, but the rest of the walk will be on the flat. The walk will finish at the end of the Terrace, which meets Waterworks Road. The last building will be the Red Hill Cinema, where we will enjoy some nibblies and a beverage while immersing ourselves in the history of this wonderful building.

About your Tour Leader

Fiona Gardiner is a heritage consultant and former Director of Heritage in the Queensland Government. She is an Associate Adjunct Professor and PhD candidate in Architecture at the University of Queensland.

Fiona is passionate about Queensland's heritage and has lived in the area for 40 years. She has a particular interest in Paddington and believes Enoggera Terrace is one of the ‘great streets of Brisbane.’
