Tim Scotter is a commercial barrister at the Victorian Bar. He also practices in professional negligence and discipline. He is a member of the Victorian Bar’s Ethics Committee and is involved in legal education in this area of practice.
He is regularly briefed by professional indemnity insurers and legal regulators, and by solicitors and counsel the subject of investigation and prosecution.
He also undertakes work for the Law Society NT in relation to disciplinary matters.
He commenced practice in 1993 in New Zealand, as a litigation solicitor until moving to Victoria in 2001. He then practised as a litigation solicitor in Victoria from 2001, predominantly in professional negligence defence work, until he signed the Bar Roll in 2006.
